Pumpkin Press was started in January 2026 as the new publishing wing of Pumpkin Wholesale. It will initially publish reissues of popular classics, in a variety of forms and genres, with the intention of growing and branching out over time.

Pumpkin Wholesale was founded by Jake Pumphrey and Nick Walsh in 2000, selling remainder books to shops and online across the country and overseas. It is the parent company of a number of beloved bookshops in Oxford, Bristol and Brighton, under the increasingly ironic name 'The Last Bookshop'. The company also sells from its own website Bill & Ben Books.
